Clear Communication: Syllabus Policies During and Post Pandemic

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Syllabi are important in presenting students with a clear explanation of the course and how to complete it successfully. This year was challenging for faculty as each course syllabus had to be reviewed to reflect the need for flexibility during the pandemic. Panel participants will discuss whether they were able to keep course policies, such as those for late work, attendance and extra credit, consistent with pre-pandemic syllabi statements or if they adapted those policies to accommodate the changing learning environment caused by Covid-19. Panelists will also discuss how this unexpected pandemic driven review impacts their thinking about syllabi and policies moving forward.
